Counseling For Issues Of Self Esteem

Our true "self-worth" goes far beyond what most of us might think at first. Many people will fall into the trap of solely determining their self-worth according to the world and human standards. Some of these worldly values are listed as follows:
      • Beauty
      • Money
      • Appearance
      • Affluence
      • Pleasure
      • Possessions
      • Brains
      • Aptitude
      • Ability
      • Prominence
      • Power

If these are our values, then we are in trouble. Regardless of how they are described, they are superficial, short-lived and misleading. Our net worth is not equal to the sum total of our appearance, our abilities and our affluence.

No person is one-dimensional. In reality, there are three views of every individual and each of these are very important.

  1. The view that God has of us
  2. The opinions that others hold concerning us
  3. The perception we have of ourselves

In counseling we will touch on building your self-esteem and working on a positive and healthy self-image based upon the overall factors.
